Creating an Ariba Network Account

What is the Ariba Network for Suppliers?

The Ariba Network is the tool that the State will use to deliver purchase orders, but also offers additional benefits and capabilities for suppliers. The Ariba Network for Suppliers provides a website portal that allows suppliers to view purchase order history, confirm orders, and send shipping notifications.

Creating a supplier account and enabling a trading relationship with the state of North Carolina will give a supplier the ability to utilize these capabilities when working with the State. In addition, suppliers will be able to link their account with any other of their customers that use the Ariba Network for purchase order delivery.

Ariba offers a free standard-access account to the Ariba Network. Creating an Ariba Network account is optional, and is not required to work with the state of North Carolina.

What do I need to do to create an Ariba Network account?

If you are interested in an Ariba Network for Suppliers account and would like to establish a trading relationship with the state of North Carolina, please first confirm if your organization already uses the Ariba Network to transact with any other buyers. If you do, and you would like to keep using the same Ariba Network account that your company currently uses with the State, navigate to the Enabling an Existing Ariba Network Account page for steps on enabling a trading relationship.

If you do not have a current Ariba Network account, there are two options for moving forward with the state of North Carolina:

  1. Navigate to Ariba’s Supplier Login page and click the 'Register Now' link to get started with a free standard account. When you receive your first purchase order from the state of NC, you can connect through that purchase order to an existing supplier with the credentials that were created when you registered.
  2. Wait to receive your first PO from the State. Once you receive the first PO, you can register for the Ariba Network and connect to the state at the same time.
