Enabling an Existing Ariba Network Account
I already have an Ariba Network account. What is the next step?
If your organization already has an Ariba Network supplier account, please confirm internally whether it is a Standard Account or an Enterprise Account. You may use either a Standard or Enterprise Account to transact with the State, but Standard Accounts are free of charge to suppliers, while SAP Ariba assesses a fee on Enterprise level accounts.
If you would like to keep using the same Ariba Network account, just confirm that the ordering information in eVP is up to date. Once the system is upgraded in May, you can begin utilizing the Ariba Network functionalities when working with the state of North Carolina upon receiving your first Purchase Order. To establish the trading relationship, click the "Process Order" button in the email.
What if my company currently has an Enterprise Account? Can I use a Standard Account to transact with the state of North Carolina?
For vendors with an Ariba Network Enterprise Account, Ariba now offers a free Standard account option that you may use with the State instead. Suppliers that wish to use a Standard Account with the State may do so, but please be advised that this would not be a downgrade of your current account. Suppliers would be setting up a new, separate, additional account at the Standard level with a different Ariba Network ID (ANID). Relationships with other buyers would not automatically transfer to your new account and you would need to use separate log in credentials.
If you wish to set up a new Standard Account, please follow the steps in option 1 or 2 on our Creating an Ariba Network Account page.

Using an Ariba Network Standard Account is free. However, if a company chooses to upgrade to an Enterprise Account, SAP does have fees associated with the use of that account.
