Editing a Document
Within a Contract Workspace the Documents tab is a central storage location for all documents related to your contract. It houses the associated Solicitation Documents, the Contractual Services Agreement, which serves as the main contract document, and any modification documents.
For more detailed step-by-step information regarding this topic in a printable format, see the following job aid.
To access the document to edit, click the Documents tab within the Contract Workspace and open the folder containing the document.
Downloading and opening the document in MS Word allows the user to make edits and additions that can easily be tracked. This makes reviewing more efficient so contract documents can be approved in a timely manner.
Reviewers are able to download the edited document in MS Word and utilize the Review tab which lets reviewers quickly see all changes made to the document. Within the Review tab in MS Word, the reviewer is able to accept, reject, or modify those changes.
Within NC eProcurement Contracts, contract documents can also be modified through the Outline View. Outline View automatically divides the contract into individual clauses and displays whether that clause has been modified or exists in its original form. Outline View also enables users to add individual clauses from a Clause Library of pre-written clauses.
