News & Events
NC E-Procurement HUB Vendor Changes  »

On July 1, 2009, the Office for Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) will implement a Statewide Uniform Certification (SWUC) Program. This program was developed for the purposes of streamlining the certification of minority and women-owned businesses and creating a centralized HUB and minority/women database. As part of this change, the NC E-Procurement system will now receive notification from the State’s Interactive Purchasing System (IPS), indicating vendors which have been HUB certified by the State of North Carolina. When a HUB vendor registers with NC E-Procurement, they will be 'Self-Designated' until official certification notification is received from IPS. Only purchases issued to HUB certified vendors will be considered for HUB Spend reporting purposes.
